Symphonic Band at the 2022 Midwest Clinic

The McCracken Middle School Symphonic Band had an amazing two days at the 2022 Midwest Clinic performing as a demonstration group for two sessions. The first was Beyond Their Years: Developing a Mature Sound in the Young Band presented by Mr. De Stefano where we demonstrated (to a packed house!) many of the rehearsal strategies and techniques that we use every day to develop our students’ tone and intonation skills. The second session was The A-B-C Sight Reading Adventure! presented by David and Judy Morrison where the Symphonic Band demonstrated a sightreading process developed by the Morrisons.

In addition to the two performances, we had the amazing experience of attending the Artie Henry Middle School Honors Band (Cedar Park, TX) concert performance. They were incredible!
