In Memoriam: James F. Keene

The McCracken Middle School Bands lost a friend and strong supporter with the passing of James F. Keene on June 27.  Mr. Keene was Director of Bands at the University of Illinois from 1985 to 2008.  We were also very fortunate to have him out to McCracken for a clinic and to present at our annual band director workshop in 2019. A literal legend in our state and the band world. Our sincerest condolences to his friends and family.
