In Memoriam: Ted Lega

Ted Lega was a legend in every sense of the word. He was the band director at Joliet Township High School for 33 years, continuing the legacy of excellence that amazing program throughout his time there. He was elected to the American Bandmasters Association in 1995. Following his retirement he rebuilt the Troy Middle School band program bringing them to statewide prominence being named Honor Band at the Illinois SuperState Concert Band Festival twice in the short time he was there.

He was an extraordinary person, and an inspirational musician and band director.
