Symphonic Band and Niles North HS Symphonic Wind Ensemble Concert – January 24

On Tuesday, January 24 at 7:00 PM in the McCracken Gym there will be a combined concert of the McCracken Middle School Symphonic Band and Niles North High School Symphonic Wind Ensemble. The Niles North Wind Ensemble, which included 34 graduates of McCracken Middle School, received the distinct honor of being selected to perform at the 2006 Illinois Music Educators Association All State Conference. This concert will serve as their “pre-conference” performance in preparation for this prestigious event.

The Niles North High School Symphonic Wind Ensemble, conducted by Elton Eisele will be performing:

Godspeed – Stephen Melillo
Prevision – Jan de Haan
Concerto no. 1, op. 11 – Richard Strauss, Trans. John Anderson
The Fairest of the Fair – John Philip Sousa

Featured soloist for the Strauss Horn Concerto will be Anna Spina, a McCracken Band alum.
